Who´s in it?

What´s the plot?

Much has been said about men’s fear of commitment and love of cars but rarely do we have the chance to see both dealt with to such entertaining effect as in this charming documentary.

By the time filmmaker Yishai Orian is about to become a father, his wife has reached the end of her tether with her feelings towards her competitor – his beloved 40 year old Beetle.

She demands that the old wreck is finally put to rest, or at least becomes somebody else’s object of desire. Here starts a hilarious journey, with fascinating encounters with the car’s previous owners, through some heart arresting moments at the scrapyard to a finale in the
beautiful Jordanian desert where a peaceful resolution might be found.
Will Yishai make it to the birth of his first son? Will he ever let go of his old love and take up the role as a family man?
