I went not expecting to like this film and having not seen any of the preceeding HSMs but was pleasantly surprised. Its positive upbeat messages together with exciting musical element and big show qualities keep the audience engaged. Its Disney at its upbeat best.

"High school? More like 'Bore' School

Ok, I'm a "too old" 48yr old mum taking her 17yr old daughter to see, in my opinion, a famously well known sequel to the much over hyped over advertised musically average non existant plot with a cheesy narrative that hardly captivates one;with very littel original footwork or imagination. Choregraphically under achieved. Mere teeny bopper eye candy.

For all the youth out there who would disagree with me lets work through the pluses and minuses....
A cheesy score, indifferent direction; very average dance routines, and same average cliqued singing.
No interesting story narrative or plot.
Not for those who want the "feel good factor and I believe" die hard fans of the series.

Those looking for something with "pizzaz" the film lurches and drones on and on and on...I couldn;t wait for the whole charade to be over...,even my daughter agreed that it is not one of the best.

In summarising A forgettable performance all round, really.
I cannot recommend it nor underestimate its' disappointing lack of appeal.
And as for captivating the average audience I would highly disuade anyone from feeling even remotely sympathetic to the over dramatic poor acting of both main characers.

A shame.

Good Film
